Ranil Jayawardena

As part of Ranil Jayawardena's summer recess tour around the constituency, he visited the Frog and Wicket Pub at Eversley Cross to find out more about the brewery sector and Fuller's plans in North East Hampshire.

He met with Richard Fuller, of Fuller's Brewery, at the Frog and Wicket.

Ranil said "It was a very fitting pub to visit as it turns out; it sits on the historical Three Castles Path - a route travelled in 1215 by King John as he journeyed to give his seal to the Magna Carta at Runnymede, something I spoke about in my maiden speech!"

Richard and Ranil discussed how pubs have evolved to become a community focal point for all ages. It was interesting to find out how they built upon local resources when refurbishing the pub and the schemes they run to help employ young people in the surrounding areas.
